Using the Death Chart as a Counseling Tool with Moonrabbit @ Uptown Lunds
Sep 22 @ 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Just as the moment of birth sets the stage for life, so does the moment of death describe not only an ending, but a new beginning. The death chart, and its relationship to the client’s natal chart can bring understanding, insight and peace to those that are struggling with the loss of a loved one. Based on a new study of mine, come and learn how to bring resolution and closure to a part of life that is often hidden in the shadows.MoonRabbit_Headshot

Moonrabbit began practicing astrology in 1975 and then received formal training in 1979 with Zipporah Dobyns through her Los Angeles school, CRS.  Since then, she’s worked with clients full time, taught astrology to beginners and seasoned students alike, participated on the board of ProSig, OPA, and STARS, and been to many national and international conferences. She’s currently working on certification through OPA. Also, in progress is her book Death Chart: A Memoir, a hybrid of astrology and memoir.

Oct 15 @ 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Jupiter StoriesTo celebrate Jupiter’s move into Scorpio in October, join us for a discussion about this most expansive and adventurous of planets!

Known as the greater benefic in traditional astrology, Jupiter the visionary sky god covers the terrain of religion and spirituality, brings a sense of meaning and purpose and pattern to our lives, opens opportunities for us along the way, and with his philosophical perspective offers insight into truth, ethics, and morality. Curiously, the planet of Truth is also the Storyteller of the planetary pantheon.

What is your experience of Jupiter by sign and aspect in your chart? Come and share your Jupiter Stories! We will also discuss Jupiter’s move into Scorpio, where he resides from October 10, 2017 until November 8, 2018.

Lynn Bell – The Planetary Joys and the Houses of the Horoscope @ TBD
Nov 17 @ 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

From Lynn: The Planetary Joys were a revelation to me. When I first came across them, in the early 1990s, as remnants of the astrology resurging from the past, they were puzzling. Why did the Moon have its Joy in the 3rd house? Or Mars in the 6th? As I pondered them, they led to a shift in my thinking about the houses, stretching their significance and meaning.

The Joys are an example of the tremendous fertilization brought into astrology from ancient texts, in this case, Hellenistic astrology. Beyond technique, their significance for psyche, for a modern, interpersonal approach to astrology, is particularly potent.

Lynn Bell – Listening to the Daimon: The 12th and 11th Houses @ TBD
Nov 18 @ 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

DaimonThe 12th House is a profoundly mysterious part of the chart. Planets here are not always functioning at their best. Energies can be locked away or wildly out of control. Perhaps we are asked to listen to their promptings differently. The ancients called this the house of the kakos daimon, the Bad Daimon, the one who guides us through difficult experiences, to places we would rather not go. How can we understand the tasks that are given by planets in this complex house, and by its ruler? In this workshop, we will also look at the agathos daimon, the Good Daimon, of the 11th House, to find out how we can call up the best in our chart.

Note: There will be a 1-hour lunch break from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM.
